Islam is a monotheistic religion that ahs the Holy Quran as its principle text. The religion of Islam doesnt believe in idol worship and reincarnations. Islam believes that God is one and incomparable. The religion of Islam believes that each person ahs direct access to god and can establish a one on one direct relationship with Allah or God. The word Islam is derived from the Latin word aslama that means to give up or surrender. In Islam, the term Allah is used to refer to god. Another characteristic of Islam is the belief in angels. As per the Quran, angels are messengers of god and convey the messages of God to people. Islam also has the tradition of Prophets who are considered to be the closest to God.
